Pastor Mark Holman, Interim

Pastor Mark Holman began working for Family of God in February 2024. He has worked as an ELCA pastor, a hospital chaplain, an ELCA Global Missions staff person, and an interim pastor supporting congregations in conflict.

When he’s not working with congregations in transition, he’s playing tennis, pickleball, and traveling with his wife, Marcia.

Pam Carroll, Office Administrator

Pam started as Office Manager in 2013. She has worked in other churches (we won’t name names) and dental offices. But she prefers working for churches because “people like coming to church. They dread going to the dentist.”

After growing up in a small town south of Duluth, she and her family moved to Carlton, MN in high school. She attended Duluth Vocational School, now Lake Superior College, where she met her husband, Tom.

Pam and Tom have lived in the house (that they built), since 1975. She has two grown children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys camping, quilting, reading and classic car shows.

Rose Fife, Music Director

Communications Specialist

Rose M. Fife became the Family of God Accompanist/Communications in July 2022 and the Music Director/Comms Specialist in April 2023.

She earned a Masters in Flute Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Iowa State University. Much to the chagrin of her Cyclones-loving husband, she then earned a Masters of Strategic Communications from the University of Iowa in 2022.

Rose and her family tell people they moved to the North Woods to be closer to Lake Superior, the trails, and the natural beauty. In reality, they wanted to improve their snow shoveling technique. So far, so good!
